Maciej Sokolnicki’s architecture is a fusion of Swiss minimalism—marked by precision, class, and discipline—blended with Polish finesse, creativity, and boldness. His designs embody both technical mastery and artistic expression, where every line serves a purpose, and every space tells a story.
Educated at the Poznań University of Technology and TU Berlin, with postgraduate studies at The Bartlett | University College London, he has honed his craft under the guidance of architectural visionaries. His experience spans global icons such as Daniel Libeskind, Massimiliano Fuksas, and Zvi Hecker, as well as top Swiss studios specializing in complex public and private projects.
Since 2016, he has led MS86A | Maciej Sokolnicki Architekt, a practice bridging Poznań and Zurich, where he designs bold, functional, and timeless spaces. From residential buildings to cutting-edge office and educational spaces, from museums to landmark bridges, his work redefines urban landscapes.
As the co-author of the Berdychowskie Bridges in Poznań, he has shaped the city’s future, proving that architecture can be both a feat of engineering and a work of art.
An aficionado of Japanese ramen, doppio espresso, and long-distance running, Sokolnicki approaches every project with the endurance of a marathoner—driven by passion, vision, and an unrelenting pursuit of excellence.
OUR PHILOSOPHY
Nothing Lasts
Architecture is a dialogue between time and space—an ever-evolving form shaped by its surroundings and the people who inhabit it. Maciej Sokolnicki embraces this impermanence, designing spaces that adapt, endure, and transform. His work is a fusion of Swiss precision and Polish creativity, where minimalism meets expression, and structure meets soul.
Nic Nie Trwa Wiecznie

Nothing is Finished
Every project is a journey, a process of refinement and discovery. Educated at Poznań University of Technology, TU Berlin, and The Bartlett | University College London, Sokolnicki has honed his craft under some of the world’s most visionary architects, including Daniel Libeskind, Massimiliano Fuksas, and Zvi Hecker. His designs evolve through exploration, pushing the boundaries of function and form.
Nic Nie Jest Skończone

Nothing is Perfect
Perfection in architecture is not about flawlessness but about balance—between structure and emotion, between utility and beauty. Since founding MS86A | Maciej Sokolnicki Architekt in 2016, with studios in Poznań and Zurich, he has created bold, functional, and timeless spaces. From residences to office spaces, from museums to landmark bridges, his work redefines urban landscapes. As the co-author of the Berdychowskie Bridges in Poznań, he proves that architecture is both a feat of engineering and a work of art.
